Controller mode issue

So I’mhaving a weird issue in controller mode. When I switch my live 2 to controller mode everything works fine, but when I switch the audio output of the software from the default internal to the mpc live 2, the buttons on the mpc stop responding. The touch screen and pads still work but just the buttons stop responding.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or if there’s an easy workaround that I’m missing?
