Building Beatz with Different Drum Patterns

Okay, I am ready to take my making beatz to another level.
I want to create beatz that change drum patterns throughout
ah song.

How to structure these type of beatz?
Do you build them by sequences and use the song feature?

Any insight on this would be appreciated because 8bar loops are getting played.
