I’ve installed Jura/Mini D on both my Key 61 and Retro One from the same license and never had a single issue since purchasing them I gig often with both and use them daily,I don’t have the units connected to Wi-Fi unless I’m downloading OS updates and never been prompted to reinstall the licences at all on any of the OS I’ve used since purchasing them so to say they don’t work unless your connected to the Wi-Fi is horse shit.

Where have you installed the plugins content to??I have mine on the CF for the One and a thumb drive for the Key 61 the only time they don’t show up on mine is if I take out the CF or the Thumb drive that contain the plug in data before booting either unit up,but even if I have unmounted the media it’s still never asked to reinstall the licence data,I’ve never had any prompts or issues with the plugins not working once the media has been mounted again

Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it isn't true.. just be happy it works for you.
I have had no problems with my live 2 but my x SE I have had three months and sell can't download any of my plug-ins.. I have been working with akai for months and tried everything but it is worthless.. I'm so frustrated it is insulting spending $2500 and can't even download the things I have already bought...

And before you say it.. yes I have tried it. I have tried everything.. akai sucks.. it is a problem with their servers.. I have tried everything and many different wifi connections.

It is a server issue with akai.. they are apparently working on it.. it is nothing to do with the hardware, it gets on wifi fine.

Hah I think I did when I first joined up, that was my avatar over at Gearslutz for a long time too. They are definitely one of my favorite bands ever. Finally got to see Shellac about 8 years ago, but barely remember the show, that was about the end of my drinking myself to death days hah.

@ShengTao - I hope you caught Skinny Puppy on this recent tour because its all over after this last run is finished in December.

Maybe but as long as people are throwing money at them their server issues probably aren’t top priority (and since it somehow works for many of their boxes somehow, your very specific case probably won’t get a lot of attention).
But of course I can see why one would want to keep the X SE otherwise.

Sounds like DNS issues to me... try a public dns and see what happens or insert the routers ip as the dns address.

I managed to catch Skinny Puppy on this tour. Unfortunately Oghr had his teeth accidentally ripped out of his skull near the end of the show. I would be SHOCKED if they bothered to come back to do much of anything after something like that.

Filter is definitely the best NIN offshoot I've heard so far. Caught them a few times in the mid 90s. Never heard of Atomizer - looking it up now. :)

Friends of mine hosted Shellac when they played their first gig here in Ireland many moons past, my bandmate at the time was in the house and tried to sneak a look at Albini’s guitar but it had been wrapped in so many layers of duct tape nobody could mess with it

Hah it's just an old aluminum necked Travis Bean. His rig is fairly simple. Travis Bean->Harmonic Percolator (only used for the loud/noisy parts)->Intersound IVP. The IVP output gets split and one side goes straight into the PA, the other one goes into the Fender Bassman he has hidden in that big silver amp case. Last few times they've toured though he's been using rented Marshall Superleads. They only bust out their 'real' gear when they play near home.

I saw them a few times in the 90s. I even got Ogres autograph with some inspirational words.. lol seems really silly now to think about. It would take an act of God to get me to go to a loud, sweaty, crowded event nowdays.

That’s unfortunate. Live music is still amazing in 2023. Saw some of the best shows of my life in the past 12 months, and I’ve been going to concerts for over 35 years. But maybe you’ve reached a stage in your life where sitting for your concerts in central air in the ADA section is more your bag. That’s cool, too. Just go to shows! Live entertainment is awesome!

No, nothing like that. He normally used a plastic spoon for this bit where he pretends like he's eating brains (which is yogurt), and at the end of the bit, Matt (Setzer) will pull the spoon out of his mouth quickly. Well Ogre got the bright idea that he'd use a metal spoon one night, and when Matt pulled it out of his mouth, he took (I believe) 4 teeth with it. Ogre drove to an ex-girlfriend's place who was a dentist (or knew a dentist, I can't remember) the next day and ended up losing all of the teeth. Not sure if he got a bridge or went full on Shane MacGowan.
