Hi,
I am trying to use the step sequencer with CV in drum mode. What I see is that if I "turn on" two adjacent steps it create a long gate and not two gates. Is there a way to define the default size of all gates? A workaround is to go to roll editor and change the end time of all steps by a few ticks, but can we do this by default?

Thanks!

To answer my own question, they are different gates, but so close that some equipment (faulty?) won't see the 2 gates. Connecting it to a trigger input works as it should.

However, if we can control the default gate size, would be nice to know.

Drum machines don't typically need a note off, just a not on. So the sequencer just sends a note off for tidiness really, so it can show in the Piano roll as a note length.

Having a note length option could also be useful when using the step sequencer for none drum sounds. Since they've added drum synth, they could also add other modulations destinations, so those two would work better together

Changing quantization don't really work since the aready entered note will be kept 1/16th size. New notes will work, along are they are spaced... but then it's the same problem as before.

Sorry, I was writing my post while working.
Yes, you cannot change notes that you have already entered.
What I wanted to say is that, maybe for you, it would be a workaround if you want to be fast while making music to switch to 32th and keep a gap between notes that you would normally program in 16th.
Or, just select all notes in the grid, make sure to select „don’t snap“ and shorten them some ticks.
Nothing to really answer your initial problem, just some more detailed thoughts.
Cheers
