I would like to record live performances played on my mpc one, straight on to my android tablet/phone.
How do I do that? Is an audio interface enough? What's the cheapest available? Thanks

Some interfaces work with android, some don't. I don't think there is definitive list of interfaces for android and I think it changes with android versions. But I think you can be alright with class compliant device. But I think you should be aright. Though you should use nTrack studio or similar pro-grade app to record, as default audio recorder might not record from audio interface. Same goes for camera app. Not sure it would pick up USB audio. I'm pretty sure you should be much better with ANY iPhone (like 5 or 6 would work perfectly in 2023)

Use an iPhone or iPad and then you can use any USB Class Compliant audio interface. Don't know what Android tablet/phone you have so no idea if it supports USB Class Compliant audio interfaces, let alone get decent latency.

You'll need:
A USB C OTG adapter (assuming your android device has usb c)
Behringer UCA222 Audio interface
An app of your choice from the play store to record
TS to RCA cables to connect the MPC to UCA222

Monitor through the UCA222's headphone port.

.

I would recommend a USBa-female-to-USBc-male adapter as well.
