Hi All

I am a newbie to MPCX & I have a few issues that I really need some help with.

- I have created some instrumentals & they are saved as 'xpj', but when I try to load an acapella to use with the instrumental, a notification comes up to close the instrumental file.

When I load an acapella & go onto the main page were my seqence is, the acapella is not showing in my track or seqence. The acapellas are in WAV.

I realise that I may have named the instrumentals under the wrong format (xpj) - should I have saved it as a sample file instead of 'save project as'???

How do I change the 'xpj' file ext to WAV format on my instrumentals?

How do I assign acapellas to my sequence?

- I need to transfer the beats I have created from my external drive thats attached to the MPCX to either the internal MPCX drive or to the USB flash drive (or vice versa). Is there any way this can be done please?

Any advice is very much welcome & thank you in advance for your help. This is driving me insane :Sigh:

Don‘t use the internal drive. EVER. this forum is full of people having problems when using or deleting from it.

Open project, MENU > save project as.

You're doing some things that don't seem to align with the way the MPC actually works.

An XPJ file is a project. It cannot be simply "converted" to a wave file. You would load the wave file into an project, either new ir existing. When you save the project, the wave is saved as part of the project. If you are changing file extensions, you are way off base.

Also, please define what you mean by "instrumental" and "acapella". These are relatively meaningless in this context.

Suggest you read the manual, and then as many articles on mpc-tutor.com as you can.

XPJ is your complete project. You need to create an 'audio mixdown' of a sequence or an 'export' of a 'song' configured in 'song mode' - this will give you your bounced WAV file. Check the manual for these terms, come back with more questions on specifics

When I load an acapella & go onto the main page were my seqence is, the acapella is not showing in my track or seqence. The acapellas are in WAV.

In main, hit the AUDIO tab, EDIT AUDIO, 'select' tool, BROWSE SAMPLES and assign your acapella to this audio track.
