Hello,

New to the MPC, how do you create variations of drum patterns/programs with plugin Drumsynth in one sequence?

Exploding drums is an option, but i want to create more complex variations, in the same sequence, so i can mix & mute fast & easy.

All tips very welcome!

Greetings,

Make the one sequence 99 bars and work in grid edit and work in a similar fashion as a PC/MAC daw. Cut, Copy, create parts over and over again.

Make a bunch of midi tracks, have them all send midi to the “drum synth”, use the mute tracks to choose your sequence.

Be warned the MPC doesn't correctly handle the same MIDI note going to an instrument from two different tracks. Exactly how it mishandles it depends on your mute settings. You either get the note doubled (at least for sample based instruments) or cut off.
