Hi, it's my first question here...
I have an MPC One and a Studiologic SL Grand Midi Controller.
Everything was okay with this until my 6 year old son started
to play around with it a little bit.

Now, when i record midi notes via the controller, the mpc
makes them longer than they were played.
i'm not sure if its the controller or the mpc that makes
the problem. any idea anyone???

thanks for any help!

Hi,

I will try this, thank you.
Btw, this doesn‘t happen when i play/record the pads on the mpc.
It happens only when i record via the midi controller.

Hi Lambdog,

I tried every setting with no result.
When i record, the first notes have the right length. But then
Strange things happen. Sometimes the recorded notes appear
Only after a while and it seems to me that they are as long until the next
Note is pressed. Even if they are played short.

Note off In midi monitor seems to be fine, when i play.

If your son only touched the Studiologic keyboard and not the MPC, then... Does the same happen if you record the Studiologic into another sequencer? Or if you record another MIDI controller into the MPC?

Then again, if you type "Studiologic SL Grand keys stuck" in a web search, you may find something of interest. Like this: https://vi-control.net/community/thread ... st-4996924

and this: https://vi-control.net/community/thread ... st-4998256

Short: note on and off getting reversed (really, lol), doubled notes, notes sticking on, stuff like that.

The youtube video in the second post is pretty funny, at around 4:46 the demo guy gets a stuck note. :) Yay, buy this OSSOM Fatar Studiologic keyboard. Not.

OP: maybe you should consider selling the keyboard. Or return it if you can.

No, he touched both. But i think the midi controller is not the problem.
I checked the incoming midi messages from the controller with mpcs midi monitor.
All note off events appear when i release the keys, as it should be.
The next thing i will try is to connect the controller via midi cables, not with usb.
Sorry that i didn‘t sent the file already. We have a farm with cows and 2 little children
and i have almost no time for my gear at the moment.

Funny…. I booted the mpc without the controller,
And plugged the usb from the cotroller after booting up.
It works now as it should…. I hope it stays now like it is…
Thank you all for your input!

I thought that was one of the first things you did, disconnect everything and start up one device at a time.
