When ever the are new FX I see talk about how basic the FX are, but I kind of like this to escape the analysis paralysis. I have stacks of VSTs, but fixed options help me dial in and move on, not that I'm good at that. Having a few hardware synths and only one with built in FX, these help bring out different flavours in there voice. I've always been a sucker for Phasers and flangers and I think the Air Phaser is pretty good, but I'm finding myself leaning into some more leftfield gems.

The Wrap in the distortion module is great, and I've already lost a few hour discovering my bass station sound pretty tasty through it. I'm guessing it's a waveshaper, maybe folding.

The Synth distortion in the Air Flavour, another that I think is a wave folder, also sounds great. I'm not sure if it's the same FX as before, but I can't dial in the same tone, so that's good enough for me as alternative.

The frequency Shifter gets nasty in a great way. and seem great at making something sound really different, or for creating mind bending tonal movement.

The the Lo-fi is a surprise to me, not something I'd used in my DAW. For all the love of those vintage tones of vintage synths, I love the Jura and Mini D through this.

I'm tempted by the new delay, but I hope the MPC get's more of these leftfield fx.

I I kind of think I may overdo these, but then again, that's could just become part of my sound. Are there other gems that you find you use over and over?

I'm not super into delays, I use them, but I'm not so fussy, so I didn't pick this one up. I am tempted by this a one of my 4 mix sends, and the fact that it has a auto clear to keep mixes clearer makes temps me. I do like the idea of just having one main delay that I get really familiar with, than lots of simpler options to jump between.

I'm going to see if it gets a Black Friday price, but I', hoping to see Kick2 and a Thoman put the MonoPoly and Taiga in their cyber week sale before paying for any more music stuff.

Well, one effect that suprised me a lot was Flavor. It‘s super quick and easy to use and is a lot of fun.

I appreciate Delay Pro a lot. I love its‘ presets for sound design, although some of them are heavy! It goes well with any kind of song without being as muddy as most reverbs, although sometimes a simpler delay (e.g. from Akai) suffices.

Flavor Pro is also a beast and - although not quite as fun - can easily compete with RC-20 which has become my favorite tool of all time.

Other than that I adore Diode Clipper and Tube Drive which I definitely overdo regularly. Lo-Fi is great in that respect, too.

In general I have detested AIR plugins when using Pro Tools, but with the MPC they‘ve very much grown on me.

I don't really use the flavour pro that broadly. I do like distortion fx, but I guess I'm not really into the LO Fi styles as much as others are. I should have known this before buying it though, As I won the RC20 to and it doesn't get much use. I do like the flavour pro for putting all these distortion type fx in one place though, and should help me try out others and not get too atatched to any.

I also like the Diode a lot, another of my 'over use of it' previously led me into looking at other options more.
