MIDI soft takeover

I thought I saw somewhere about there being an option to set absolute MIDI controllers (eg faders or pots (not encoders)) to be soft takeover (so you have to move to current position before it will start to affect the value. Now I can't find it on the unit or in the manual. Was I imagining it? Is this possible on the MPC?

Guessing from the silence I imagined this feature being on the MPC.... Shame! Gonna make smooth transitions between tracks while playing live if I'm expected to move every knob to the starting position on the transition without errors!!
