MPC behavior receiving program changes.

May you can help me.

I tried sending program changes to the MPC.

- I set it in the preferences menu / mid sync to sequence. check. sequences were changed according incoming program changes.

- I set it to tracks and track were changed accordingly. Check. I will make more try outs here to figure out, what exactly is happening.

- I set it to program. Now strange things happen. I have loaded to drumkit programs to track 1 (midichannel 1 exclusivly) and 2 instrument program to track 2 (midichannel 7 exclusivly). I send a program change to track one and it is working. It changes the 2 drumkits as intended. I sent program changes on midi chanel 7 to track 2, but programs are changed in track 1 again. No changes on track 7 whatever the program change number is.

May you can help me out how I can use program changes to change programs in different tracks in different track cathegories.

Whatever I test (msb, lsb) only drum programs change programs. Even if I sent prg ch on different midi channels.

You can't, it only works with keygroups and drum programs. It has been well documented for years.

Couldn‘t find anything about it.

It doesn‘t work for keygroups here.
