Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i just won my mpc2000xl on ebay.YESSSSSS!IM PUMPED. but i feel really dumb asking this question. Ill use an example to a song everyone has heard. shook ones by mobb. in the song not the drums but like the other noise was that made using a sample? if not was it made using a synth?if someone could help me out thatd be great cuz i really dont know much but im hungry to learn...thanks

you should be okay using samples.....you just have to know what to pick out!!!

the siren noise was sampled from quincy jones, i dont know where the keys were sampled from, but they're definitely sampled

i got it for 830 with 5 disks...i thought it was damn cheap

is that dollars or pounds? have seen some v cheap mpcs occasionally on ebay uk....gues its all the people switching to reason (ugghh)
