I’m wondering what’s the most portable, low-maintenance USB class-compliant audio interface and recorder available on the market today that is a good fit to the MPC. I’ve owned the Tascam Model 12 but it’s easy to need recording more than 6 stereo tracks, and the larger Model 16 and Model 24 are way overkill.
I imagine something Raspberry Pi-like that behaves like an audio interface towards the MPC, USB-powered, has stereo / headphone out and records everything it gets from the MPC on an SD card. Imagine a Teenage Engineering TP-6 with more than 6 stereo channels and without the crazy price… or a 1010 Music Bluebox with audio inputs over USB.
Wouldn’t that be amazing?
