nice vid, the beginners should get a lot out of it. i like what you do with the hats and T.C. i start my beats the same way by laying down some straight hi hats first.

Ok i made a torrent file that you can try out. You need to download a bit torrent program to start downloading...abc bittorrent is a good one. After you install it click on the other link.

The part about exporting regions in Soundforge is really useful, I didn't know about that feature. It would've saved me hours (well, days!) of chopping stuff up

It won't download in that torrent shit. Under error message it says rejected by tracker. What do I do?

i like that thing you did with your sound forge...but how did you transfer your sample that had different regions to your mpc and had the stretched across the pads like you did?

Absolutely fantastic mate, I have learned more watching those vids than I ever did reading the manual.

For novices like me video's like these that you and pep's like Classic (in other threads) are putting up really make all the difference and speed up our progress.

In soundforge...go to

1. Tools->Auto Region...this detects beats and adds markers in your sound file at the chop points...you can choose different settings depending on the audio.
2. Tools->Extract Region...this saves the regions you detected before as individual audio files.
3. Copy the chopped files across to the mpc and make a program for them.

Although miles apart the English and the Southern Hemisphere countries do share very similar humour / laid back attitudes. When it comes do sports though, well different matter I guess, lol.

Back on subject, I would be keen to know a little more about what main features you use on sound forge for getting good original samples onto the MPC. If I could pester you for a couple of little tips that would be fab.
