Yeah, I'd image that's why the standalone version is going to take some time to appear. They're definitely going to need to optimize it for that limited SoC.

So, if it doesn't work in the standalone version, will those who own an MPC Studio be able to use the MPC Stems?

What's cool is even if it uses a ton of CPU power it will quickly be able to "recover" from using it once it is done making the separation.

I truly can't believe this works in standalone. I am ridiculously excited for this.

By time they get to the point of releasing a video & announcing it to the buying public, it been tested & deem workable enough.

I doubt it works as fast as the desktop version, but that's to be expected. If it's really slow I'll just make a Stem day & go in just like I do on sampling day when I just take a bunch of records & sample.

I'm thinking what we are seeing IS standalone. The separation of STEMS happens in another piece of software in almost real time with a decent CPU. The delay I'm seeing in these vids definitely gives me acceptable times for standalone. I could be 100% wrong.

You can only create individual stems? So I can’t just remove the vocals and have rest of the elements on 1 sample?

I understand the layers in the drum program which is cool so I guess you could just bounce to sample from there once you lower volume of what stems you don’t want?

Am I understanding this corrrctky?

you can flatten to pad any or all of the individual stems

Exactly. I'm so tired of Akai Introducing new features instead of fixing the issues that have plauged us for years. MIDI Note on off bug, Class compliant audio interface bugs, and yet we get more features. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool feature, especially coming from the DJ world where Pioneer and Denon have incorporated Stems into thier recent hardware, but please Akai, just fix the bugs.

He’s been using a first-gen MPC Touch from the start to record his screen caps.

Yes the mpc touch acts as an additional computer monitor so you can just do screen recordings from it. But it’s also possible to record video from standalone these days using the hacked firmware, I use this some of my expansion demos

IMO NI acts similar with Maschine / Maschine+. I don't know an alternative to MPC / Force / M+.
Maybe Elektron boxes like Digitakt or Octatrack come close but their UI and workflow are quite differnt (but nice ) and they can be used as instruments for live performance.

It will work with the mpc software hence it will work with any currently supported mpc controller. You don’t mention which mpc studio model you have, you might not have all the features available directly from the hardware so you might need to use the software directly for some things
