Akai Will probably drop Stems for the Hardware, Simultaneously with the MPC Key 37....OR Only Available with the MPC Key 37 Hardware.

That will help sell the MPC Key

MK3 = MPC KEY 37

Yeah but what about its converters ? Do they sound 100% like a MPC 3000 or is it pure garbage ?

LOL @ them whoring stems... "for those of you that like to destroy other peoples songs we've got you covered. now you can bite your favorite track at the click of a button. Insert, reasemble and re-work the classics just like *promotionary name drop you've maybe heard of*"

by that logic sampling and chopping is also destroying other peoples songs so why are u even on mpc forums when mpc is primarily a sampler and pertains to sampling source material and transforming it into something else.

Source material could be a the same drum-set in different environments or with different mics & mic placements, not just from drum breaks from someone else's song.

Also stems could used from non-copywritten music as well. Like your own music that you don't have access to the original files. There's all kinds if way to use stems.

Again, that's YOUR limited skil and knowledgel. Not everybody needs to steal other peoples drum beats and loops to make music.

exactly; but its intreseting to see people get triggered by stems technology, especially given that this is mpc forums and mpc's primary flagship feature is sampling.

I would assume most people on this forum come from a hip hop background; so have to question the vitriol shown towards this feature.

it allows for greater creatvity and means u can sample records that dont have any breaks; so surely this is benefical; it just like when bluenote gave madlib the multi-tracks to those old jazz albums and he made something with a different vibe off dat; now we all get the chance to have access to the multi tracks of anything, so this is just opening infinite creative doors

yet people are crying and what things to stay restricted due to some archaic moral arguments; but hip hop at its core was based on using records to create something different
