I don't know, last time I was there was pre-pandemic in 2018, but I've been to it tons of times, I live like 30 minutes from there and always have a friend somewhere that's exhibiting and get passes. That place is always **** PACKED. If I didn't live right near Anaheim, I wouldn't set anywhere near it. It's worse than going to Disneyland any day of the year which is literally right across the street. Its split up across the whole convention center, so you go into one building that is packed full of guitar nerds, the building next door holds all the DAW and software folks, then there's all the recording gear. The modular synth stuff is so big now it gets its own entire section of a building, you get to see the Doepfer guys walking around in their cool white Doepfer lab coats. Mackie usually has a whole stage setup upstairs full of PA shit for the live sound folks, there are bands that play all day long. Saw The Pharcyde in the Mackie room in 2018, it **** ruled. There's stage production folks, audio engineers, regular music nerds like me, there are all kinds of folks at NAMM, not just the random yoohoos who want to see what Akai does with the MPC.

most people dont need every feature from the 4000 or all the features from the rack samplers of yesteryear.
also Akai care more about sampling then all the other companies combined as they have kept the akai mpc flag flying.

its only recently that roland paidattention to sampling after a long hiatus and came withthe 404 mk2; before that what was the last sampler they came with the mv1? and before that it was crickets.

korg have not made a sampler in bout 10 years; with the electribe 2, I wont bother to mention the kaoss loop debacle product.

yamaha only just came out with a lil sampler this year but before that their last sampler was prolly in the early 2000s.

Exactly. What's worse is you just gave him facts (which he claims is what he based his speculation on) about NAMM diversity last time you went...

Limit inaccurate personal perspectives can lead to some strange conclusions that feels so right to the person, but is just hilarious to most others

I know all about namm the vide are on youtube for all to see there is no secret; im just saying that most of the stuff on display is not interesting fro a sample base producer perspective imo; all the PA stuff and pedal fx boxes dont interest me at all

i dont care about modular synths; i give me opinion baed on my perspective; I dont care if other people find it interesting, in my book most of the products is boring an repetitive is my point.

i know about everything i speak on; hence why im speaking on it; im just saying most of the products released at namm are boring imo; as there is not much there for sample based producers these days

I know you based your opinion on your perspective. My point is that your perspective is limited to what you currently know which is true for everybody, but most people don't state their opinion as facts. Also, you do know many sample-heads use guitar pedals & other tools for sound shaping right? Maybe that could change/expand your perspective or not, it's your mind.

Ur reading my opinion as facts ; when i made it clear its my opinion

i never seen premo, pete, dilla, alchemist or anyone of they ilk using a dam guitar pedal, so u reaching

maybe dudes that make sample packs use guitar pedals but that neither here nor there;

namm does not have a good showing of products that are of relavence to the sample based producer, hence why i say namm has fallen off.

of course i am speaking from my perspective; and of course others still like it cos they are general audio geeks but i only care for relavent products, so from that perspective namm has not been interesting for about 10 years back when korg electribe 2 dropped and beat thang was at namm, that was the last time it was interesting.

I am only interested when i see multiple sample based products being brought to market
