I want a DAW styled Arranger Mode to come to our MPCs too...

I just don't want to fight about it.

Arranger Mode with a linear timeline would be great for the MPC, but for some weird reason, this topic fuels a most passionate rage amongst some of us MPC users who are angry that we don't have this feature.

I'm not going to judge your ire, after all, I wish MPC software had Multioutput support for InMusic's BFD, but how many other MPC besides myself plays an Alesis Surge Drum Kit to control BFD within their MPC software like I do daily?

The truth is I don't know because not enough voices have made themselves heard, so why would I fight with other MPC users for such a feature that may not be relevant to someone else?

Akai Pro made it very clear that we should use the feature request button in MPC software to communicate what we want in our MPCs, so I have to ask, are we using it?

What if instead of arguing, we collectively organized feature request campaigns?

For instance, we set a specific date to send in feature requests for Arrnager Mode, another date for multioutput support, another date for Midi Effects support, another date for PDC, and so on, and so on.

I guess what I'm saying is why fight each other when we can organize and work together instead?

This isn't what it is about. People want the MPC Software's TRACK VIEW (Ctrl+2) inside MPC standalone, with all the editing tools that come with it. In fact it has been implemented in the AKAI Force. There is zero technical reasons as to why the MPC doesn't have that.

Ultimately, AKAI is well aware that some people want that function on the MPC Standalone, especially when it exists in MPC Software.

Conversely, I want marker support in MPC Software, along with the half baked step recorder in the List View. It infuriates me these don't exists in the DAW. These exist in MPC standalone.

Arranger mode exists because people clamored for it. it does not exist in the MPC because Akai wants you to buy a Force.

They could change the entire workflow of the machine with as little as an auto/manual overdub toggle in the preferences, genuine start offset for sequences, and a dedicated button for copying the current sequence to the next empty sequence slot with one press.

Don't stop the playing the current sequence while copying it to a new sequence and seamlessly jump to the new sequence, maybe at the current playhead - or at end of sequence if that is too difficult to implement.

A cute pointer trick would be to keep playing the same sequence after the new one has been copied to, but to rename current to new, new to current and to reorder them... No actual sequence jump needed, but the user gets the appearance and all practical effects of jumping to the new sequence.

Of course renice and ionice the copy process so that it doesn't interfere with playback even when CPU is bottlenecked.

Damn, the reason I bought a MPC One was to get away from computers and here I am, specifying new functionality !

The MPC One is a computer, not a program on a microcontroller... as they used to be
