Not sure how that would work, as some people would be selecting more than one genre, and some people will feel they fall between options. I have this problem every time a website asks me, when I sign up.

They always ask me what DAW I use and typically don't list Cakewalk/Sonar, despite it being one of the oldest out there.

I don't know. Just put a bunch of types & a other. Let people pick multiple types, just to get a ruff idea of what people on this site is into. & is still mainly Hip-Hop. Like I said, after some time we can just count how many types were mention & how many times.

My DAW is Audacity - somewhere between the notepad.exe and the Notepad++ of DAWs...
