MPC KEY 37...?

A guy on Reddit claims to have one in hand and is attempting to sell it. Maybe he grabbed one off that cart:

Wow! I find it so amusing that everyone has something to say. Yeah they're milking the tech, but no one would bat an eyelid if they released this the same time as the key 61! Roland Korg etc release keyboards with different size variations so why not akai? What's the big deal? Same thing different chassis. End of! Think they should lined those pads with the screen though, looks really stoopid like that!

From looking at those blurry pics it seems to have lower spec I/O than the 61 (e.g. no mic inputs, less analogue outs, no MIDI through, less CV, and a few other things such as PSU (61 is direct AC connection), has an SD card slot which the 61 doesn't, keys have aftertouch. Only the free plugins listed on the box. can't see anything on the box that would indicate SATA support. Seems like a budget, scaled down 61, also can't see any mention of the word '4GB ram' on the box.

I'm sure we'll be finding out more as the day progresses

Let's see what CPU has this machine. Maybe, it has a better one than the past machines, so only 2023 in advance will get STEMS in standalone.

Makes ergonomically sense to have the pads as close as possible when you have a keyboard in between. Same goes for the touch screen though, so, provided that it's physically possible to get the screen closer to the keyboard and they could find another sensible place for the buttons below it, that would IMO be a better solution, and the screen (and the qlink encoders) would line up with the pads without having to move the pads further away.

Don't even count on it - 4gigs @ ROCK2 is the max you will get - they wouldn't dare to introduce a new platform with a budget device. As I was always saying, given that it takes, give or take 2-3 years to develop a new device, the next logical step for them would be ROCK5 (RK3588) with max of 16gigs but something tells me that whatever is next, it won't be RADXA based.
Anyway... having ACVR off the way - anyone knows anything about ACVF ?

That's very, very unlikely. This is not a completely new gen MPC, it's still recycled bits and pieces from all their other products (MPC, MPK etc). Ultimately a stripped down, lower cost Key 61, 99.999% sure that this will be the same CPU as all other current MPC models.

Ram, yes, we know they have 4GB boards, but I still think 2GB on this one (but if it's 4GB I'll probably get it).

Yea...This will be the Only Hardware to Receive Stems for a Long While. Until they Offer a Paid Version of Hardware Stems. Power Move!

It would be a mistake not to ship with 4GB but since it doesn't seem it's bundled with Fabric...

Disappointed it looks like they got rid of the locate buttons the 61 had

After looking this over if this is like mpc one with no ethernet and 2gb price shouldn't be more than $999..

I’m interested anyone a guess about the price?
