Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

4K does look great with text and graphics/GUI - assuming the source content supports it. On second thought, I don't think the standalone OS has those kind of assets - the native resolution of the screen is only 1280 x 800 and a 16:10 aspect ratio. That right there would require upscaling anyway.

Your screen would automatically upscale i don’t understand the problem.

Not enough of us are requesting it. If we demand Video Out for Display Purposes, they'll come around and implement it

Akai supports the current MPC platform just enough to sell more add-ons and milks it for all it is worth with packaging variants such as the Keys, One+ and Keys37 - none of which required any modification to the motherboard, as an HDMI out would.

With R&D now zero and the main components cheap as they near their end-of-life, it has to be very profitable. So the question now is when Akai will allocate some of the profit to R&D for a future platform and how much of a jump it will be - same with better performance or the red Ableton Push3 killer with standalone arranger ?

My argument might be undermined by the availability of USB DisplayLink adapters.

if you want to have an idea how would it looked like on a large screen, these are the direct screenshots taken from the framebuffer. You may download them, turn them into a bit lower quality .jpeg to add a "video'eque compression" and stretch it on your TV.

Um is it really only as wide as a live? I highly doubt

I meant VERSUS the small width of a MPC One in comparison to the Live. Ex...Mini Pads on the Left versus underneath the LCD Screen. Of Course it's wider :smh:

Super confused here  Your original post claimed it had the cabinet width of the live and you said nothing about the One

And this idea that it’ll be the only mpc with stems is ludicrous. Where did you get that info and how does it make sense?
By 40Beatz Thu Jan 25, 2024 10:17 pm
Ok since we're playing on the Words I selected lol :smh:

All I meant was that It's Wider than a MPC One in relation to the Pad Placement. Please Disregard my Choice Of Words earlier.

Again My Predictions are Just MY Predictions from an Economical Profit making point. NOT PROOF. Everyone thought It was Ludicrous when I started the Thread as well  Lookin for a Live 3

Just offering STEMS in the Key wouldn't make sense to US as consumers, BUT.....would make Economical Sense to InMusic in order to generate more Pre-Sales of the Key37. Then release it for all other models at a later date. Not That Far Fetched
