Advertising months ahead just gives me time to think and realise I'd be wasting my time and money buying it.

advertising works well on most of the general public in particular women and children;

subliminals and hypnosis aboslutely do work, hence why people are made to vote for politicians that they know are scum, or take untested medicines cos they buy in to the paradigm on some level.

yes advertising ahead gives time for the hype to cool off; whereas if the product is there right away people get swept up in group think and they will also buy.

the human hive/ herd is very much open to manipulation; and is highly suggestable.

when when people see a product getting rave reviews; people who were initially not interested will get interested just to fit into the group.

if u understand the work of edward bernays and his book propaganda u will see how mallable the individual and the group are.

so dont decieve urself in thinking that sbliminals and adverts dont work, there is a reason why companies spend millions on it; and everyone making money on youtube is getting paid based off advertising views.

The dude never said advertising doesn't work at all. Anyway, Mr. Bernays ain't no joke, he's Sigmund Freud's nephew & he completely revolutionized how business advertises their products. I used to sell a 4 part documentary on him back in 2009-2019 called "Century of the Self". Deep shit on how most people are sheepeople & it has mad dialog to sample, which Stems would be perfect for those parts where you want the music & dialog to be separate. Copy up beat with the background music & play "clean" vocals on top. :smoker:

Thank you. My point exactly. It works BECAUSE people are weak minded. That's not a criticism, judgement or attack, just a simple observation from my own experience.

Often it's just lack of educating yourself and not allowing these things to sway you. Advertising has never worked on me. I've never seen any advert and thought I must have that.

I used to get excited about new gear releases, but now I just see it for what it is. But I love the look of the new king Korg it looks fantastic, but I would never buy it. Even if akai made a live mk3 and made it super compact folding, speakers better os better integration, better screen, I still wouldn't buy it. Been there done that. But if Roland released a new MV then I would probably think about that.

I hope whoever buys the new mpk enjoys their experience with it, honestly, it'll be no different an experience than any other mpc though. But my experience has been fun with it and I would recommend anyone get one who has any interest in music production. I personally don't like the os and pc integration.

Sounds good B-wise :)
I like to use quotes from films myself. But it can be difficult getting clean results for me at least.

some dudes just get int the mindset of being contrarian for contarian sake;

but i do get ur point ; cos i dont just update gear cos simply cos something new has come out.

but there are people that just like to have the latest gear regadless

I suppose it doesn't have to be clean, I mean, back in 2008 I made a track using the background music to my advantage. But you can't always do that. Having them clean just gives you more options I think :)

who says it has to be claen; them wu tang samples added extra rawness

Believe it or not, but not everybody wants that sound. I love it at times, but I rather add my own rawness, this ain't 1994 & sometimes to do that you need a clean sample like, just that single guitar lick w/o out anything else.

from what i heard on the marlow digs video the stems seperation sounded pretty dam clean

Looking forward to having stems within the MPC environment but I have zero faith in the supposed stand alone version. With how bad warp is in stand alone I have a hard time believing splitting stems is going to sound good. Is real time time stretching that much more complicated and cpu hungry than stem separation?

Pure speculation, but stem separation is available basically free and it is GPU-accelerated, many parallel cores churning away the neural network processing. Neural networks are a good fit for GPU parallelization. And there is some kind of a GPU on the MPC. High-quality time-stretching is not available for free, and for e.g. Elastique, maybe Zplane (or whoever wrote it) don't provide code that's fast enough on Akai's boxes. The Force has Elastique Pro, and it is a super slow offline process.
