Hi, I'm having a problem using the MPC X with reason 12. Is there a way to use it as a midi controller along with the MPC software in reason 12? The midi notes are recording in the MPC software but not in reason. I have downloaded the latest software and even tried the midi out device in reason but I can't get the midi notes to record in the reason sequencer. All suggestions are welcome

I could be doing something wrong because the mpc software is also not recognizing the reason 12 vst 3 file it keeps on ignoring it when I analyze the file

As i understand, you want send and record midi from mpc software used as plugin inside Ableton. If so, create midi channel in mpc and reroute it to Ableton. When this channel armed, you able to send to Ableton midi.

1) Change in mpc software preferences-hardware-Record\Overdub to "To Host DAW"
2) Create midi channel in mpc and route it to DAW (change midi output to DAW). Leave it armed.
3) Create in Ableton midi channel and arm it.
Now you must see midi activities in that channel when pushing pads on mpc.

Second way you can just move already recorded clip in mpc to Ableton. Its a tiny button in mpc software called "Export MIDI" (top right). Hold that button and drug to Ableton.
