Just bought a second hand MPC One

Hi all,

I've just bought a second hand MPC One and looks in good condition.

However I've checked the internal storage and it's absolutely full to the brim with projects, and splice content. Like 56mb free storage.

I read about the danger of deleting factory content and that worries me slightly.

When I go into splice folder there's 2600 samples but no folder so can only delete 1 by 1.

Is there any way of deleting all these samples without deleting each and every one individually?

Can’t you just do a factory reset? I don’t have a One but a factory reset should delete all content

Delete the user projects, sift through the splice content, see what you like

cos all the advice I see is don't store any stuff on the internal storage, use SD / usb. Won't it slow down being at full capacity? Plus I just don't want it there... Want to start fresh.

The factory reset I've done (Googled) only resets the preferences. I can find no hard reset for the One. Would love to see instructions on how to do this

Could I save the stuff I like to an SD, then delete it off the internal drive? Seems like it's going to take an age. I'd rather get rid and start fresh. Like I just bought a new One

You need Akai to send you the Reset file or find someone willing to send it to you. This site can't keep a download of it here for legal reasons. Good luck.
