Please Help! MPC Live 2 can't recognize Internal drive

I've installed a SAMSUNG EVO 870 2TB internal SSD drive into my brand new MPC LIVE 2, following some online tutorial. It should be visible from the internal browser, or by my PC using the MPC LIVE 2 in controller mode using the provided USB cable, but nothing happens and the internal drive is nowhere to be found. On the same day Inserted an SD-Card in the dedicated slot and the MPC LIVE 2 instantly recognized it.
Does the internal drive need to be formatted in EX-FAT before the installation ? If so, should I use an external tray?

MPC will only recognise a drive that is already initialised, if it isn't then you have to initialise it on a computer first,

With the MPC connected via USB (and controller mode enabled), go to your computer's disk utility application and search for the drive, it should hopefully be listed there but showing as not 'initialised'. You should then be able to initialise and format it there.

I've already tried that, but the disk manager shows only an opaque (ghost) icon of the internal drive that can't be interacted with. Am I missing some important step?

PROBLEM SOLVED! After a quick search I found this useful video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72SlI_7-B5E&t=82s ) . It was just a matter of assigning a new letter to the non allocated drive and then format it in Ex-Fat.....so many things I still don't know.
