mpc conversions

how do i convert my timbalicious drum sample zip disk from stereo samples to mono samples...it takes all day to track with my 8 outs!!

Or if your ZIP disk was originally formatted fat16 via pc
then you can throw the zip in the pc and use a batch converter
and convert all of them to mono/stereo/mono all once in like maybe 10-15 seconds..

That's the route I would take cause I have a batch converter.
CEP/AA has a btach converter inside it if you happen to have CEP/AA.

so what if u dont have batch conversions....how do u do this process with the MPC2000xl...

sorry am confused. if your tracking wit 8 outs and you have say the kick on out 1 the sn on 2 etc then then the end result will be mono, no?
if not just convert in the mpc in the edit page. instructions how to do this is
in the manual

no cause it automatically assigns the stereo sounds to 1/2 3/4 etc. u cant send a stereo sound that uses to channels out of one on a MPC2000XL

so what u need to do is USE SOUNDFORGE or what Lampdog told u.

there supposed to be a way in theMPC...MPC THAT does that function...i misplaced my manual so i cant' look it up....plus i thought i did the other day but it did not convert it....when i was ready to track drums it was still in stereo...how do i fix the problema people....??
