MPC KEY 37 where is the damned battery ?

they could easily put a 5000 mah battery in the mpc one; that would make the most sense as far as not making the device too heavy but still allowing a reasonable amount of disconnected usage time.

Since we have a portable and autonomous MPC, we have taken a liking to working anywhere (even in my bed ). It's a faculty that I greatly appreciate.

Okay the MPC KEY 37 is as it is, and you have to live with it. Now what I expect from AKAI, and this is the fault of the MPC KEY 37, is to have a perfect hybrid for me (and I think for many other users as well).

Namely a standalone portable MPC with an integrated keyboard:

the MPC KEY 25 with battery, 4Gb RAM, SSD bay, and detachable speakers

What else ... ?

Yes, but in this case it will need a special dedicated psu. What would be the point vs a "standard" psu ?

It wouldn’t need a special power adapter… most modern laptops charge via USB-C PD, and all will have to by 2026 in the EU.
I run MacBooks from standard USB-C battery packs all the time.
I think you need to read up on the USB-PD standard, there is no need for any special power supply, the whole point is the client negotiates the power they want from the source. My MacBook Pro wants 96 watts but will happily accept 30 watts from a small 30 watt charger - it will just charge slowly, and may not be able to charge (or even lose charge) if in use doing something requiring lots of power.
The MPC Key 37 only requires 36 watts.

Akai is a business, not a charity. Their employees feed themselves by developing product. They make a profit if the conditions are right and they provide a thing of value to their customers. We all like earning money just like Akai does.
