USB Interface Buffer Size (Behringer UMC1820)

Where is the buffer size set for USB interfaces? Is it a preset one size fits all buffer size within the MPC, or are the settings set up when connected to a computer retained.

I'm using a Behringer UMC1820

I'm have a signal chain running through 2 interfaces and I can't seem to get the round trip low enough for my intentions (I'll probably have to re-think it)

There are no settings available when it comes to the official firmware. if you want to set a custom buffer setting
the only solution would be to use our Hakai firmware where I've integrated Amit Talwar's mod to set the buffer size.

Does the mod software indicate what the default was for the un-modded?

Yes, in the instructions I've made it so that you will first check the default settings and afte changing it you can check the modded settings.

A very knowledgeable chap just told me that the Force internal interface is locked to 192 sample buffer, and external ones are locked to 128, so external has inherently less latency but any difference between various models can only be down to A/D conversion
