If you open the arrangement and set the loop to bars 1-8, or 1-16, it will be pretty much immediately obvious what's happening, and why the launches happen when they happen. Whenever the playhead line reaches a bar number that's divisible by your launch quantize setting plus one it's row launch time.

Thank you. I will check this out when I get a chance in the next couple of days. Strange that just selecting the quantisation using the buttons doesn't just do it.

Great! There are so many things to learn with this device.

Even if you know how it works, I think it's still possible to mess up by playing a shorter part or break, if you forget where the arrangement position is.

Hi, I have a similar question, can’t find the answer anywhere and this thread comes close.. I’m trying to launch a row and then launch another row midway through, and the newly launched row will pick up at that point and continue from that point till it loops, overriding the first row but correctly in the timeline. Similar to a volca seq when you load another seq on the fly.

Reading through this thread that this is not possible, that it always starts at the beginning when you launch a new row but I seem to remember being able to do it, something to do with quantization. Maybe it only works with switching between clips within the same track?

You have to put each clip in Legato mode found in the clip editor. You'll also will have change the clip launch quantization. Which can be set in 2 places. The tempo menu & the clip editor. You use the Shortcut Shift on of the function buttons labeled near the mute track select buttons.
