so if the mixing is unbalanced, which to some of it may appear so !!this mean that he is down graded, if it is a submission, u really cant change it according to the rules, it is not a matter of "how does my beat sound" its an entry. if ppl are going to pick up anomolies such as this, then the rest of contestants who have mixers, and software stand a far better chance, if the beats are going to be looked on like this. i have heard commercially released albums with out of tune bass guitars, pianos and drums, tht have sold muliti plat, where do you stop?? madlib?? records to a 4 track then stright to dat, then to the mastering house, "oh his track has too much hiss, and there is a bit of warp 1min 35 secs in. suppose andreas, which i dont believe he would, would have wanted the drums tht upfront in the mix?? does this mean it cant work??
i am trying to get an understanding of what it is seen as acceptable, who is the next man to say, my bass i s distorted, who sets the standards of what is correct from what isnt??
tell tht sh1t to chris blackwell, where catch a fire was recorded on 8 track by morris himself as the mix and recording engineer,
also i hear european folks saying, i think reggae has to much reverb on it,??? what is tht about
