MIDI recorded on MPC track plays back different

1- Novation Launchkey Mini Mk3 plays an arpeggiator pattern to the MPC One over USB - Fabric's "Warm Standard" sounds fine.

2 - MPC records the MIDI from the MIDI keyboard. Process appears normal.

3 - Stop the keyboard's arpeggiator

4 - Play the recorded track on the MPC... Doesn't sound the same as during recording.

What am I missing ?

You have the "Time Correct/TC" function ON (quantized recording). Either turn it off or set it to the proper value, from 16 to 8T or 16T.

Thanks: TC is indeed is the difference - I verified and disabling it gets back the original recording.

In spite of getting MIDI clock, the Launchkey's arpeggiator doesn't care to align on any time division - extra work to shoehorn it into the desired number of bars... And it is very likely to end up as an accidental polyrhythm !
