transpose midi input ?

Hi,

simple request, simple feature, yet the Mpc One can only transpose down to -24 (why ? ? midi values go up to 127, why are the devs so sadistic ?)

I have a TD1K drum set and it is like 2 octave too high in regard of the plugin samples (multi drum)

how can I fix this ?

The TD-1K seems to be able to change the MIDI note numbers it sends.

In the drum track, you cannot transpose input MIDI, but there is a workaround as follows:

1. Add a dummy MIDI track in addition to the drum track
2. Transpose the dummy track to -12
3. Set the dummy track's "Send To" to the drum track
4. Arm the dummy track and play the TD-1K

you can transpose but not less than 24

my td1k is more than 2 octaves above the multi drum plugin

why is the multi drum plugin so low ? no controllers are mapped that way ?
and there is no way to remap midi in the program edit

In the "EDIT PAD NOTE MAP" function (Main screen > Drum program row > Pencil icon), select "CHROMATIC C1".

Since the default MIDI OUT of the TD-1K's kick is C1 (note number 36), there is probably no need to transpose it.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were referring to DrumSynth.

DrumSynth multi uses the pitch of C -2 (MIDI note number 0), which probably cannot be changed.
Since the MPC cannot transpose more than -24, you'll need to change the TD-1K's send note number.

yeah, I dont understand it is just a number, why limiting it to 24 instead of 127 which is standard midi

These current MPCs have many of these types of limitations. BTW the MIDI goes up to 128. 0 counts as a step/value. Either way I don't understand it myself.

there would be any decent alternative to the MPC one, that thing would end up on ebay faster than light

Even the Yamaha RS7000 can transpose 99-/+ & it's from 2001. At least explain why that limit is in place.
