When I put the " Disk #1 Standard Set" in the MPC 2000 the manual says select "standard--set.PGM" with the DATA wheel and press DO IT. Only problem is in the file on the MP it has only the choices: MPC 2000 .PDF, MPC 2000 .SYS, and MPC 2000 . EXE. Is this a problem?

AND ALSO

I have downloaded some sounds from the internet and put them on a formatted disk. I put the disk in the MPC 2000. Now how do I go about applying these sounds (drums, snares, etc..) to the pads and getting them to play. Sorry for all the newbie ?, jus got the M
P today.

Load them for the disk. Shift + 9, then select a sound. It will then ask you to which pad you want the sound on. Hit the pad you want. The sound will then be on the that pad.

You should read the manual. This is really basic and covered in the first section or two.

MPC 2000 .PDF is your mpc manual.
Open it in adobe acrobat and check out how to load sounds and samples and that will solve your little problems (for now, I'm sure you'll be back though).

MPC 2000 .SYS, and MPC 2000 . EXE. is ypur boot up disk.
