MPC 60II OPERATIONS BOARD NOT WORKING

Hello group I really need some help I have a mpg 60ii and was installing scsi in it and plugged the operations board ribbon in wrong turned the Mac on and it wouldn't boot so I opened it back up flipped the cable and it boots up but now none of the buttons are responding what should I do??

By connecting the ribbon backwards, you fried components on the board.

Unfortunately, No one is going to be able to determine what needs to be replaced on it from messages on an internet forum man.

well, at least all is not lost... the MPC boots.
But Richie is right: by reversing the connector you feed power (+5V) into lines that simply don‘t expect it and this power is passed on through whatever follows on the circuit board.
It‘s impossible to predict what exactly blew up.

If you remember the wrong direction, one can trace the lines (on the circuit diagram) to estimate the path the misguided power took, and then check for fails.
It‘s not rocket science, but definitely needs knowledge, measurement/testing gear and time.
(not very helpful, just an explanation... if you‘re lucky you may find a talented student to fix it privately, but of course this adds some extra risk... )
Did you ask any repair shop with MPC reputation ?

The fact you're responding with some ideas to troubleshoot is far more helpful than anyone would expect man, give yourself some credit!

It can definetly be fixed. You (or a competant tech) just need to diagnose what parts have been blown and replace them.

If you haven't done so already it's probably worth checking that the connections of the intenal ribbon cables are all still seated properly. Check by hand, don't just look.
