How do you manage the limited software activations?

I have a Live II, my favorite MPC, a MPC X purchased used when people were dumping them to buy the updated model, and a One+. Three hardware units for the 3 activations allowed for things like the Mini D and Jura. I sold my Force to get back down to 3, and buying a keyboard version is out. But that leaves me without the ability to use my Mini D, Jura and a few other purchases on my laptop or desktop which has the MPC Software.

This has me frustrated and I have stopped buying Akai hardware or software because of the 3 activation limit. Just wonder how other people are dealing with this? I'd really like to be able to move projects around without jumping through hoops.
