Locking in Scales / ghost chords

Hi 2 questions relating to piano roll in standalone mode.

Is there a way once you've choose your scale and key to lock in the available notes or hide notes outside. A lot of DAWs have this facility but I'm assuming mpc one doesn't.

When building a melody in one track is there a way to see the chords on another track as a kind of visual indicator? Again don't think you can but double checking.

The MPC Key 61 and 37 will allow you to do this.

Other MPCs don’t have this feature because it is more useful for keyboards. It is a feature supported by some MIDI keyboard controllers. Two of which, I some experience with are the MPK Mini Plus and the M-Audio Oxygen Pro. It might be a good idea to pair your MPC to a keyboard that has that functionality if it’s something you need and you don’t have a Key 61 or 37.

As for the second question, no. You can copy the chords into your new track, study them, then record over them when you’re ready I guess.
