You're welcome, hope you like it, although I think I'm going to do it again as I think my German Grand came out better, noticeable in the lower registers.

Cheers

If you have downloaded this keygroup prior to 10:12PM UK Time, please download again as I found a couple of issues with it, turns out that the pads don't work well at all if you change the velocity layer values from the default, when I used the auto sampler i decided to try different velocity layers, they work absolutely fine with a midi keyboard attached but the pads just didn't want to play properly, all I needed to do was change the velocity layer values to the default in the program edit screen for the keygroup, also my polyphony was only set to 16 which isn't any good for a piano. I've sorted now, I hope.

Please let me know if you have any problems with it as I'm still learning the sampling bit along with everything else. :o)

A couple of ideas for improvement:

a) you should open up your WAVs in a sample editor and manually trim them as over 50% of them have a lot of empty space at the end of the file, you can probably get the overall size of the instrument down to around 70MB.

b) Also check the lower register notes as these are cutting off too soon, so you could try either re-sampling these to full decay, looping or applying a custom envelope to fade them out - this can be done at a sample level in a sample editor (and will reduce memory usage further) or within the keygroup itself using the amp envelope

c) a piano is only 88 notes, so I would suggest limiting the keyrange of the instrument accordingly.

d) consider adding some velocity sensitive low pass filter to help smooth the tonal changes, especially at low velocities

Many thanks for your input, I will certainly look into improving the pianos.

I will try these suggestions now as I'm currently re-sampling the Japanese Grand.

Cheers

Hi Folks

Here's the latest version of the 2 pianos, I've re-done all the samples and adjusted things as suggested by MPC-Tutor, please try them out and let me know what you think. If you wish to of course. :-D

Cheers
