did the forum get hacked?

pretty sure i logged on a day or two ago and the whole theme changed to a black backgorund; the site was looking spooky, some the font had that erie death core type necro vibe.

No, I accidentally enabled a really old theme that I started working on around 15 years ago, it should all be working fine now

Sounds like a theme to be used around halloween.

I like the current theme alot. If you ever change it @ tutor, ditch the div borders in the css stuff. Would give it a modern flat kinda feel.

the current theme is clean; i see no reason to change or perhaps there could be an option to have multiple skins and people can choose which they want, like this current theme is the deafault but maybe people can have different options linked to their profile

No plans to change anything in the immediate future, but at some point I'll be forced to upgrade the forum software to the latest version and this is incompatible with the current skin, so I'll re-assess then. But yes I agree, borders need to go!

I'm just glad you got email notifications (for new posts) turned back on. For years it was off, and made coming to this forum an exercise in insanity. So cheers for that!

Skinning phpbb is agony lol. esp if you get into replotting element positions. i really miss the live chat module that people would use but they were also a vector of attack. (injection exploits).

Have you ever considered some type of live chat? Perhaps irc module embedded into a page? It'd be really neat to converse with the users here in real time and have discussions where we could fully articulate our ideas. I mean.. sure folks have facebook and discord and what-not but those are not dedicated audio enthusiast communities.
