Sample properties per pad?

I apologize for my cryptic subject line. I don't know what to call the information I'm looking for.

I made a drum program with kick, snare, etc. I want the snare to exist also on a second pad, but tuned down. I loaded the snare into a second pad and tried to change the tune setting on the sample and it didn't work for me. The tuning change occurred on both pads instead of one. Is it possible to do this, or do I need to make a copy of the snare sample, name it something else, load it, then tune it?

It sounds like you're either tuning it on the sample page, or that you're changing the program's Global tuning. Make sure you're changing the tuning only for the pad itself.

Select the pad, program edit > samples, use the semi on that page. This will only affect the tuning on the current pad layer
