How can I copy a sample multiple times

I have a specific sample that I will manipulate in different ways on multiple different pads.
For example, on one pad I will fade it out, on another one I will fade the sample in, etc.
If I use the same sample, the effects of what I have done will carry to the other pad.
Is there a way to copy the sample multiple times?
I hope my question makes sense.

In sample edit, Extract the sample over and over again till you have multiple copies of the same sample

And when I extract and save, I have to rename each copy (e.g. sample [original name], sample 1, sample 2, etc.), right?

no it should rename by # by itself

In program edit, just hold copy and tap the pad and where you would like it to ( multiple times if necessary) and then make your adjustments

The pad settings are stored as pad parameters and not the overall sample

If you use this method name the first sample the way you want before you make new ones.

Also, in the drum editor you can change the slice type the Pad so that the same sample on different pads can still have different sample start & end points. Very cool & convenient feature. By default the slice type is on All.

You shouldn't have to create multiple instances of the same sample. Just make sure the program is set to use Pad Paramaters and drag the sample to as many pads as you like

Reiterating the above, since so many others glossed over it. For what you want to do, you do not need to make copies of your sample. Just make changes to the pad parameters.
