Indeed, and is the CPU even powerful enough. I also wonder if the CPU can do stems.

And then again, is it possible to do stems in standalone??? Can it do it?

Has it been speculated enough? What if it hasn't been speculated enough??? Is it possible that it could have been speculated enough? Countless times in this thread alone. But IS IT ENOUGH??? I seriously doubt it. What if it's not enough. I mean, it could be that the CPU just can't do stems. Could it?

Maybe

I think it can do it since they already said it's coming out for standaone, so I'm guessing they already tested it. It may take way more time to process. Also, releasing it for standalone gives them another reason to get people to buy a MPC in the future, when it could've been ready to go when it came out for the software. Sucks for standalone only users, but it makes bu$iness $ense. I wish they would say when it dropping tho, even if it just the season.

On one of the last Akai videos Andy did indicate that more synth were coming out, so it seems like they got a lot more planed for this gen of MPCs. Like, why would they drop a feature like stems this late in the game & then abandon it when their at it's most sellable stage? At this point the new gen may not come out until 2027 - 10 yrs after the current. But who da fu*k knows...

Those who know aren’t talking. Do yourself a favor and don’t expect it anytime soon despite what you heard. It may already be done. I suspect we still have a wait ahead of us.

Even with it “in the box” I still just use La.ai. Quality over convenience

Think Stems in standalone is going to be a hit or miss kind of thing with some limitations like timestretching on the MPC1000/2500. It’s nice to have it onboard, may save your ass a few times, but still have to go software for the best results. Personally I could live with that.

I still really wish they would just focus on the sampling capabilities(Not Stems) and Tighten up the Midi. I could care less about the rest.
If they want to add some glitter than maybe they could finally add Visual EQ, Spectrum Analyzer and as an "Extra Feature" they should allow the Screens to switch the the old DOS looking ones on the Older Mpc's... That or something different than Grey and Red... Maybe a "dimmer" feature for the Screen. It only has Day/Night mode.. Why not just let us Adjust the Values Ourselves? Also... A god damn decent reverb ffs. I could really care less about Stems... They want to add a billion more Plugins. How about they make the Swing work like the old Mpc's. It's not in real time. Also... In all reality... Automation should be more like Ableton, Bitwig or any other DAW, they should change how people can interact with it. Simplify it. Lets be real it's a pretty Janky. And for god sakes... They really could add a timeline. I personally Do not Need it, but I know many many people that talked about it in the past. They have bloated up this machine with enough expansion packs, pay to own Fx and Plugins. I haven't bought a Plugin or FX for it yet. I'm at the point of not spending another dollar on Akai(even thought I havent in years) until I see something changed about what I'd said above. There is so much more I am missing but it is late. Goodnight.

There are many blatant areas for improvement that they seem unwilling or unable to deal with, so yes in that respect it's frustrating to see so much effort put into these add-ons when the core is still lacking in many places.

BTW swing can be real time. Go to 'Preferences > Sequencer' and enable 'Q-Link Swing Control Applies TC Settings on Release'. Now with your sequence playing, use Q-LINK 7 to adjust swing - whenever you let go of the Qlink, the current swing settings will get applied.

the add-on's presumably sell well; much more so then those improvements.

I wish a space between paragraphs was used more often  , but these & the reverb suggests are on point. No spectrum analyzer on device with a colored screen is criminal!

Maybe the old screen feature could be called "Vintage Screen Mode" & they could have the option of a full colored & a 2 toned version like the old mpcs, but gives the option of the tone color like the green & black or my favorite white background with black text.

You may not care for stems, but it's a step in the right direction for many users It just sucks when certain features that should've been there by now are nowhere to be found.
So, your frustration is valid. More QOL updates is the most thing & those features you mentioned.

Yes, but I think ATM they are getting a little carried away and need to restore a little more balance, people will quickly grow tired of being nickle and dimed on every new feature, especially when really obvious core functionality has been ignored for years.

Sort out that stuff and watch people throw themselves deeper into the ecosystem, and hence be more likely to purchase more add ons.
