Hi,

I was interested in a few air/akai plugins and see various sales going on at different vendors (not air or akai).
I bought a plugin synth from akai before and know you get 3 activations for it,
however asking these vendors I do not get the same answer (mostly say 1 or 2 activations),
so would like to ask if anyone has experience buying from a 3rd party and how many activations they got.

If they are an official vendor then they are simply passing on an activation code provided to them by inMusic, they are just resellers and most (if not all) of them don't even host nor handle the activation process in any way.

After installing the plugin (which you'll probably have to download from Air or Akai) you log into your inMusic account within the plugin and activate using the code (or enter the code in your inmusic account via their web site, your activation should sync with your plugin once you log in).

So you should get 3 device activations, as the code is the same code you'd get from air/akai. This is my experience buying inmusic software through sites like pluginboutique, Thomman and audio plugin deals.

Do you know if I must install / activate the plugin via the windows or mac installation so it will be registered as a plugin I purchased in my inmusic account and then I will be able to activate it also in the mpc ?

asking this as currently I purchased a license but I cant register it in my inmusic account, looks like it only accepts serial numbers for hardware devices and not software plugins
