Hi,
I just started using a mpc (one+) but have used samplers since 1998.
I really love the way I can chop samples with it but I am wondering if there is a way to set it up this way that the slices playing are continuing to play even longer than just to the next slice (until the end if not stopped by another note or note off)?
Thanks for helping :)

PROGRAM EDIT > GLOBAL > 1st column > POLY: POLY ( the default for a chopped program is 'mono')

This ensures that, for example, pad A01 will continue to play through even if you were to hit pad A02 in the middle of playback

Optionally you could also set 'ALL' pads and set all individual pads to Poly (3rd column in GLOBAL screen) so they can also overlap playback on themselves (so two successive hits of pad A01 overlap rather cancel out).

Thanks a lot for your answer.
This is allowing me to play more than one pad at the same time but I still want the pads to cut off and just one sample being played but at the moment the pads play just from the startpoint of the chop to the next chop and then stop. I would like them to play until the end of the sample even if that means playing the next slice and the next slice etc until I press another pad or the sample is played to its end.

If I’m understanding you correctly , I’m thinking you need to set up ‘mute groups’ and set some of the pads to ‘note on’.

my problem is, that when i press a pad the sample just plays until the next chop. I want it to play as long as the pad is pressed even if it plays the sample through the next chops.
basically as if the endpoint of each chop was the end of the sample and not the beginning of the next chop.
at the moment when i lets say chop at 8th note intervals i have to press a pad every eith note to keep the sample playing but sometimes I want the sample to play longer.

thanks for your answer, I think this just sets whether the pad has to be pressed and held or just pressed but I think the samplle with just play to the next xhop instead of all

edit: yesit just sets the way the sample has to be triggered but the triggered slice just plays until the next slice. I suppose I could set the endpoint of every single slice inside the program till the endpoint but this is a lot of manual work :(
edit 2: I just tried that as well and it does not work. The only way to make it work I could find was to slice using pad parameters. Then the endpoints can be changed manually without changing the next slice point.

If anyone knows a better way to do that I would be really happy to hear how it is done
