Mpc as MIDI controller with chord progressions

I've been using my mpc one for around six months now. I really enjoy the speed and joy this process brings.
Having fallen in love with the ability to load in chord progressions, I have a question for a hybrid workflow.
Is there a way to use the mpc as a midi controller, but still being able to load up my chord progressions on the mpc? basically playing the chords that I have assigned on my pads, and have them come through into fl on a piano roll. I've looked through a bunch of videos and searched online, I can't seem to find an answer. I have mpc installed both standalone and as a plugin into fl.

Yes, just make sure you are using MIDI program with all the appropriate channel and port assignments.

Thank you for the reply. Not sure I understand you correctly, I need a separate midi software?

create a MIDI track. set the output channel to whatever the input channel is on the external device you want to receive the chord progressions. turn on pad perform on the MIDI track (I think) and then when you press the pads, it should be triggering either the single note value or the selected chord progression on the external device
