Hello everyone,
I’m quite new in the MPC world but I’m feeling very comfortable with it.
The only one negative thing is an issue I’m experiencing with the Mother Ducker.
I make techno music and I’m composing a live set. In my project every sequence is a different tune. I populate a sequence with a drum program where I trigger drum shots and short loops, sometimes a clip launch and midi tracks for external synths. I usually place some some Mother Duckers on some of the drum programs’ pads, on the audio tracks where I pick up the ext. synth audio and on a return track, which I trigger with the MD input places on the main kick insert.
Most of the times after going from a sequence to another, I find the sidechain in the sequence is “unlinked” like the MD input is not sending the trigger. The only way to bring things back to normal is to double stop and play again, which you could guess, is not the best thing to do while performing a techno live set
Side chain is a fundamental element of my performance so it’s impossible to me to think of giving it up. I hope to find some help here. I own a MPC Live 2 updated to 2.14 firmware.
Greetings from Rome, Italy and thank in advance for you time.
