Do I need a mixing console

Hi there,

After doing the initial beat on my mpc one I then send that to my daw (Reaper) and then add vocals and extra guitar if needed. I use a RME fireface as an audio interface and my question is do I need to mix and master via a mixing desk/console?

For context my music is kind of alternative r&b with synthwave elements.

quick reply : NO. you have to distinct need and want.
i've bought an x32 compact mixing console but only cause i wanted it. you can totally mixing "in the box" with your mouse or even with a surface controller.

Mpc hardware > mpc software > Reaper channels to rme total mix software mixer on screen.

Not recently but I have done this previously with mpc x, mpc software, reaper, rme ufx.

Reaper and your rme are your mixing console, all you need to do now is hook up a controller to control all the transports for track volumes and your fx and what not. your mpc, or an akai midi mix perhaps.
