I am trying to learn how to delete a few things in Controller mode... as you can see in this screen shot, I have a Track 18 that I made accidentally and I cant seem to delete it... Also, if you look at the channel mixer, there are 4 faders with unused programs that I can also not delete....what is odd is those programs are not appearing on the MPC LCD....I read where you can make an unused track, add the unwanted program to that track and then use the pencil and delete...well the 4 that you see with the faders down are no where ot be found on the MPC's lcd...just in the MPC software....

Lastly, in the Channel Mixer view, can I move the positions of the faders around? Like for some reason, I have a Drumkit 1 on Fader 1, and then one of the last faders is a Drumkit 2...I would like to have those side by side...

Thank you all! Happy Creating!!

You can't change channel order. If you delete a program then it should not be visible anywhere, it should be gone. I've just checked in MPC Software 2.14 and it's working fine, so it sounds like you have found a bug. Have you closed the app and re-loaded the project?

It's not a bug - it's always been working like that, the OP confused MIDI Tracks (blue/ horizontal) with Program Mixer (green ones).

In short - you didn't create the track18 as it was always there, it just been hidden all the time. You may confirm that all of the 128 midi tracks are already "premade" for you, by checking the option "show unused tracks". Once you assign a program or keygroup to that midi track it becomes active to "hide" it again, select MIDI track of you interest unassign any program that is "attached" to it and then go to EDIT -> TRACK -> CLEAR.

On the other hand, the mixer page on your screenshot, is the PROGRAM MIXER page not a MIDI CHANNEL MIXER (two different things). Program page shows you all programs that are currently loaded into memory. It doesn't matter if they're assigned to a midi track or not - they will show up on the program mixer page until you physically delete the program via your MPC or via EDIT -> PROGRAM -> DELETE.
Remember: BLUE - Midi Track / GREEN - Program, there is a difference :)

DustySlices! Thank you!! Yes total utter confusion by the OP-me! lol... So Edit Program-> Delete didnt quite work as part of my confusion was the programs in question that I want deleted do not show up as in this screen shot:

But in this shot, after clicking main , over in the project section, I do see them...if I right click on program 4, I can then delete it:

I am pretty new to all of this so I totally appreciate everyone's help and patience with me! I hope this post helps others in the future!!!
Thank you all!

Hopfully one LAST question, along the line of deleting unused things...I have everything cleaned up except I added an eq to an insert that I do not want to use. I see where I can turn the insert on and off, but how do I completely remove that plugin from that insert... right clicking the insert does nothing (PEQ 4 Band)::
