Hi all,

I have a MPC Key 61, and a subscription to Melodics. I want to be able to use the Key 61 as a midi controller on my PC so I can use it with Melodics. I've tried plugging the keyboard in with the USB 2.0 plug into the computer and putting it in computer mode, but the Melodics software doesn't see it. I've also tried turning computer mode off with that same cable and no go. Do I need to plug it in via one of the two USB A ports on the Key 61 to the computer? So a USB-A to USB-A cable? Please provide any help if you can. I appreciate it. Peace...

I'll leave this post up in case anyone else has the issue and can't figure it out right away.

It should work by setting the MPC to controller mode, ensure the MPC Software is not running so it shows 'Looking For Computer'. It should just act as a generic MIDI controller (and audio interface). The MPC Live & MPC One work like this with Melodics, I can't see why the MPC Key wouldn't do also.
