So I have my Sustain and Expression pedals working fine on my Key 61, but I bought a HOSA Footswitch so I could trigger "Play/Start" when I want to record vocals and I don't want to have to hit it on the keyboard and run to my mic.

This is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FC4YTZQ?ps ... ct_details

Does anyone know how I can get this working with the Key 61? I saw a video on Youtube, but it looks like Akai has changed around the way the menus look on the MPCs, or at least, the guy had a MPC X and its different on the Key 61? I did a Google Search, but it lead to this forum where they were talking about programming the footswitch, which I don't think can be done with this one I have...I would be grateful to anyone who could provide some insight. TIA for replies. L8r!

Unless you have a pedal that sends sysex you wont acheive this without a custom rom, ssh, and manually midi mapping the controls for your pedal to a midi mapping file stored in the roms system root. It's challenging. Ultimately what you want is some kinda stomp-box that has programable sysex messages to do it without hacking. The akai keyboards have fully working sysex transport controls and lighting iirc depicting that it's doable, but its kept within a few items of akais ecosystem of toys, i assume to sell people on plasticy soundless junk.
