My shift button seems to be messed up. When I press it all my sounds cut out.

By messed up, I mean I've probably changed a setting somewhere.

Any ideas?

Just loaded one of the demo tracks that comes with it and it does the same. I notice the STEP SEQ and TC buttons light up, if that means anything to anytine.

Thanks man, that's got it. It seems it was the Control assign to the MPC . I run my MPC as a slave from my DAW, and recently I found some CC messages were not being passed through midi VST like Scaler, so when I playing midi from the DAW into the OPX4 and trying to use my Launch Control to send CC's to control the OPX4 a handfull of CC weren't working (out of 96). The solution was to connect the Launch Control to a USB hum into the MPC direct, and set the Control to Launchpad to let it work. I guess I set the Control to MPC at the same time, thinking what harm can it do. Now I know.

Kind of figured it was me, it usually is.

Keep going on so many wild goose chases for school boy errors. Took about 4 hours to discover the some midi VSTs don't send thru all mid cc, some don't send any. Had me reconfiguring 6 banks of 32 CC messages in the Launchpad, then systematically testing all all 96 CC message I use.

Scaler, Harmony Bloom, Bleass Arp - no CC38, 98 ,99, 100 and 101 out of 96 tested.
Hy Plug-ins Euclid, Block Chainer 2 and 3, and Seqund (that HY helped develope - No CC messages at all.

Once confirmed I wasn't going to win this, it dawned on me, to just connect up Launch Control direct to the MPC and not the DAW, only to create another problem. You start thinking you are going mad 'Maybe shift always did that?'
